Fast, simple, ergonomic and safe!

World’s first inflatable support for prone ventilation in the ICU

Scientific studies highlight the benefits of optimised PEEP and long recruitment for ARDS patients ventilated in alternating supine/prone position, but it is one of the most challenging and ergonomically demanding position changes for nurses. The IPV (Inflatable Prone Ventilation) consists of a pelvic and thoracic pillow allowing the patient to lie in prone position with a free hanging abdomen. Prone ventilation allows for better oxygenation and thus maximum lung ventilation and oxygen absorption in the patient’s blood. The unique selling point of the Ergotrics innovation is the use of compressed air instead of manual labour, which is an ergonomic breakthrough in the ICU.

Inflatable Prone Ventilation IPV

Benefits of the Inflatable Prone Ventilation

  • Minimum abdominal encroachment upon the lungs
  • Optimal oxygenation
  • 100% hygiene (single patient use)
  • Better ergonomics by using compressed air

Inflatable Prone Ventilation IPV

Scientific research*

Targeted lateral positioning decreases lung collapse and overdistension ARDS (like Covid-19)

  • Description
  • Advantages
  • Value proposition
  • Similar to the IPS but tapes are replaced by absorbent covers and valve can in- & deflate to reposition patient
  • Optimal prone position with a maximum free hanging abdomen: implies maximum lung ventilation and oxygen absorption
  • Optimal oxygenation for patient
  • Saving time and personnel for repositioning
  • Better ergonomics for healthcare workers by using compressed air
  • Optimal hygiene ensured through the use of disposable covers
  • Reduction from 4-6 to max 3 healthcare workers for positioning
  • Can increase survival rate and faster recovery with optimal oxygenation
